How It Works

We keep it simple, respectful, and professional.

Each 2-page spread is the artist’s own creative space — published exactly as submitted. No heavy curation. Just your vision, your rules (as long as it’s 100% original and follows KDP guidelines).

  • 1. Submit Your Spread

    Create your own 2-page spread using our free Canva template or the InDesign version. This is your space — design it however you want.

  • 2. We Publish It Untouched

    If your work is 100% original and follows Kindle Direct Publishing guidelines, we publish it exactly as you submitted it. No edits, no heavy curation.

  • 3. Reach New Audiences

    Your spread appears in a professionally printed monthly book available on Amazon (paperback + ebook). Artists receive real exposure and a tangible product for their portfolio.

  • 4. Promote & Collect

    Share your published spread with your followers and proudly showcase it in your portfolio.
    Purchase beautiful author copies at a special discounted rate.

Submit Your Pages

When you're finished with both pages:

  1. Export each page as PDF Print (with bleed)
  2. Name them like this: YourName_June2026_Page1.pdf ~ YourName_June2026_Page2.pdf
  3. Email both files to me at rawartpost@gmail.com
  4. Please include your name (or pen name), Instagram handle, and website (if you want to be tagged/credited)

~My Why~

I love making books. Every month I get to design a new cover, assemble a collection, and release something real into the world. That personal creative rhythm is at the heart of The Raw Art Monthly Post.

This project carries a quiet nod to the great American tradition started by Benjamin Franklin with The Saturday Evening Post — the idea that a regular, consistent publication can bring art and ideas into people’s lives in an engaging, accessible way. Our covers include a subtle visual reference to that legacy while staying fully original and contemporary.

The Raw Art Monthly Post is a creative publication — not just an art book. We warmly welcome visual art, photography, creative writing, illustration, mixed media, and collaborations. Whether you’re an illustrator and writer team who’ve talked about “one day making a book together,” or a solo artist who simply wants to share what you’ve been creating, this is your low-pressure starting point.

We intentionally keep each issue to approximately 50 pages (up to 25 artists). This keeps the book a digestible, enjoyable read — enough fresh inspiration to spark your own creativity, but not so much that it becomes overwhelming. It’s the sweet spot where readers can genuinely connect with the work: following artists on social media, reaching out for collaborations, or even hiring someone for a future project.

We keep the price accessible:

  • Paperback: around $15
  • Ebook: around $5

This structure allows us to offer full-color printing through KDP while keeping production labor manageable each month and making the book affordable for most people.

At its core, this is an honest experiment. I’m an artist too — I design every cover and often include my own spread alongside everyone else’s. My hope is that book sales will eventually help cover bills and grow the project, but I’d be genuinely happy if it simply breaks even. Any extra profit will go toward creating more opportunities for creative people like you.
