The Raw Art Monthly Post Series
A new body of work every month. Each issue stands on its own.
~My Why~
I love making books. Every month I get to design a cover, assemble a new body of work, and release something real.
The Raw Art Monthly Post is how I stay engaged and actively making art. The deadline is the point. Repetition and consistency are how I build skill — a new issue means new pages, new problems to solve, and another chance to get better.
It also gives me a place to have a voice. Not a pitch deck. Not a feed. A printed magazine where the work can sit still long enough for someone to look at it. Publishing each issue is how I push the art out into the world in a professional, finished form.
The series carries a quiet nod to the American tradition of accessible magazines like Benjamin Franklin’s Saturday Evening Post: a regular, readable publication that brings art into people’s hands. The covers keep a subtle reference to that lineage while staying original and contemporary.
Each issue is about 50 pages — enough to spend time with, not so much that it becomes a catalog.
Price stays accessible:
- Paperback: around $15
- Ebook: around $5
Full-color printing through Kindle Direct Publishing. The goal is a sustainable monthly rhythm I can actually keep.
This is an honest experiment: make the work, print the book, start the next one. If sales help cover the making of the next issue, that’s enough.
